Description
My latest masterpiece. Well, at least it is for now. I havent painted, let alone colored one of my pieces of art for a very long time. It was long overdue. Always inspired by Mucha I decided to do a series I've had in my head for a while now, the Valar.
To non-Tolkien nerds... the Valar are god-like beings who shaped and ruled the earth for a time. They (at the time of The Lord of the Rings) seemed to have little effect on the every day goings on of Middle Earth but they're role in the past was ever present. There are 15 all together, if I'm not mistaken, and this is their queen, Varda the Star Queen. She was always my favorite, and so she is first.
Drawn, then inked, then painted with gouache, then re-inked. Took too many hours for me to recall
